Tony Duque from Raleigh, United States

Another beauty, Susan! The edges of the clouds seem softer in this shot that in the previous ones, giving the view a very different feel... any particular reason for those soft edges? I'm betting you have several other pictures from that amazing sunset, and I'm hoping you'll post them on your otherwise slow days... whatever that means. ;-)

3 Sep 2009 5:06pm

@Tony Duque: Tony, I think the softer edges are from a new program I used to reduce Noise..... and I do have several shots from that night, but they're basically the same as what you've already seen. I shot another one last night, I'm about to go see what they look like, so there should be new shots out of last night, before I resort to the rest from the other night........glad you liked them all......I was really pleased with the evening!! If I can't catch sunrises, at least I can get these lovely nights!!

peter from new york, United States

really wonderful series susan. you HAVE to get some of these printed!

3 Sep 2009 5:57pm

@peter: thanks so much Peter......I think once I get the new noiseware program I just ordered, with a little bit more work on these, I may print a few, and see how they look on paper....I'll definitely let you know how they come out!!

Even more intense than the previous shots. This has to be one of the most spectacular cloud and sky colours I have ever saw. Thanks for sharing. I hope it cools down so you can shoot some more of these spectacular sunsets.
